In attendance: Tom Saunders, Holly Deveny, Andy Bain, Russ Douglas, Ron Kozak, Satish Shah, David Brodeur, Caroline Cook, Elaine Ekland, Sharon Mullins, Belle Kumsaitong Roddell Pleasants,
Absent: Roger Drury, and David Robinson proxy to Jennifer M., Caroline Cook- proxy to Tom S. David Jones, Vreni Ludin , Larry Corse, proxy to David Brodeur
Guests: Tanya Nophawan- first meeting
Holly D. gave Vice President’s review of presentations, which are scheduled over the next several months
She also presented the idea of the group using her Lake Hartwell retreat as social outing – August 7th, 2005
Members approved the minutes, sent by Russ D. from the June 1st 2005 meeting
Tom S. presented E- trade confirmation and the treasurer’s report
The unit valuation as of 6/30/05 was $21.26, a 6.7% decrease for last month. The money on hand to invest tonight was $2648.00.
Tom requested $99 to buy Version 3-BetterInvesting software. Group members agreed to reimburse him for this expense.
He also presented article on Bank of America
DIG Board was presented, which had been prepared by David B.
Members were canvassed about the stocks they were interested in investing tonight. After discussion, a motion was made and seconded to put funds in AIG a company presently owned by the group. Other members voted and unanimously agreed to do this – current price was $68.27.
Presentations:
David B. presented Johnson and Johnson NYSE- JNJ , which manufacture and sells health care products. He found the current price $64.83 in the buy zone..
Andy B presented Intermagnetics- NDQ-IMGC, which develops and makes superconducting materials, and electromagnetic components for magnetic resonamce imaging, MRI. He found the current price of $30.10 in the buy zone.
Meeting was adjourned.
