In attendance: Andy Bain, Tom Saunders, Vreni Ludin, Holly Deveny, Ron Kozak, David Brodeur, Larry Corse, Jennifer Mullins, Satish Shah, Russ Douglas

Absent:, Todd Fibus-proxy given to Tom S., David Jones, David Robinson and Roger Drury-proxy given to Jennifer M.

Russ D. submitted minutes from September 2003 meeting, which were amended. Jennifer Mullins was put on record as having been at September meeting. The minutes were then approved.

Tom S. submitted Treasurer’s report. The unit valuation was $19.44, which was a 0.7% decrease from previous month. The money on hand tonight was $2224.

A payment of $2170 will be made this month to Steve Shockley who is resigning from the club. The money collected from members tonight was $1460.

Peter Carnell submitted his resignation from the investment club. His current valuation is $3150 and will be paid by the end of November.

Holly D. reviewed presentations schedules for the next few months.

Ron K. and Satish S. will present in November’s meeting.

David B presented the DIG Board.

Assignments were made to companies, which were without analysts. Ron Kozak will cover Fannie Mae; Inc. Larry C will cover AFLAC. Vreni L will cover Intel.

Members were canvassed about their interests with the DIG Board and how to use funds on hand and collected tonight. After discussion and motions, members voted to hold funds and not buy any stocks so that payouts will be made to resigning members.

Presentations:

Larry Corse presented three educational services. Apollo Group, Inc. APOL, through its subsidiaries. University of Phoenix provides higher education programs to working adults. It was found to be I the hold zone. Club members before have reviewed this company. He also presented Bright Horizons, Inc. BFAM. It is a provider of workplace services for employers and families, including childcare and early education. This company was in the hold zone. The last company was Career Education, Corp.- CECO, which provides post-secondary education in career, oriented disciplines. This company was in the hold zone.
