In attendance: Andy Bain, David Brodeur, Peter Carnell, Holly Deveny, Russ Douglas, Roger Drury, Todd Fibus, Vreni Ludin, Jennifer Mullins, David Robinson, Tom Sanders, Satish Shah, Steve Shockley.

Absent: Larry Corse, Ron Kozak (proxy given to Tom Saunders), and David Jones.

Guest: Bernadette Mullins

Moment of inspiration: David B. discussed the ups and downs of the stock market as a reflection of the war in Iraq.

Minutes from last month were approved.

Tom Saunders presented the treasurer’s report. The unit valuation as of 03/31/03 was 15.96. Cash on hand tonight to invest to night was $1485. Dividends were paid from MSFT and HD.

Education classes will be provided on SSG preparation, at David ‘s home on Wed. April 23, 2003 @ 7:15.

David presented the DIG Board. Members were canvassed for stocks they would like to invest. After discussion, a motion to buy Pfizer as made. This was seconded and then passed by unanimous vote of other group members.

Presentations:

Holly Deveny presented ChoicePoint Inc, which provides decision-making intelligence, including risk management and fraud prevention to business, government agencies, and individuals. Its business is focused on three primary markets- insurance, business, and government services. She found the current price to be in the buy zone.

Holly also presented Harley-Davidson Inc, which manufactures heavyweight custom and touring motorcycles and related products. It also owns other motorcycle companies and a wholesale and retail finance unit. She found the price to be in the buy zone

Steve Shockley presented Fannie-Mae, which is the nations largest provider of residential mortgages funds. Primary function is to provide secondary market facilities for residential mortgages. It provides stability to this market by buying selling and guaranteeing mortgages. He found the current price to be in the buy zone.
