Absent: David Jones, Holly Deveny (who gave her proxy to David Brodeur)
Guest: Jennifer Mullins- 2nd visit
David Brodeur presented the DIG Board. Canvassing on which stocks, members were interested in, was limited based on fact that discussion was focused on payouts to members who were resigning or terminating from the club.
Treasure’s report: Tom reported that as of April 30, 2002 valuations, $2687.05 was on hand. Tonight’s collection from members totaled, $1670.
Discussion was given about payout to Marcia Ratka who was terminated. Her valuation was $585. Other discussion was on payout to John Brock who resigned, and his valuation was $5364.
After several ideas a motion was made to sell part of the club’s current holding in Robert Half, Inc. approx 25%. This would be added to the cash the club had on hand going into tonight’s meeting, and use the money collected this evening, to cover the costs of the payouts. This motion was seconded and carried by the group.
A motion to sell ADC at his time was also made, however this was not carried.
Presentations:
David Robinson presented Macrovision Corp which designs copy-protection and rights management technology, This company was in the buy zone.
Mike Wall presented Coventry Health Care, Inc. a managed health- care company. It’s current price was in the buy zone.
David Brodeur presented Exxon-Mobil Corp. this was in the hold zone.
Todd Fibus presented a comparison of Home Depot and Lowe’s, both home repair supply companies. Both of these companies were in the buy zone.
Decisions to invest tonight was though was postponed until next month, to first take care of payouts.
