David B. discussed PEG ratios:
-P/Es go up when growth rates go up.
-P/E ratios vary with interest rates. As interest rates go up,
present value of future earnings isn't as high.
-As betas go up (higher risk), P/Es go down.
-PEG….P/E divided by growth rate.
-David showed examples of 2 companies with different betas. P/E
is always higher for the lower beta stock.
-David reviewed how a beta is determined…based on volatility
as compared to S and P….performance comparison.
The minutes were approved for last month.
Tom passed out the E-trade statements.
-$104.95 is due to Tom for the new accounting software. Tom will
take the reimbursement in additional shares.
-Tom passed out the valuation statement.
Tom advised he got several emails advising that a "check
is in the mail" for monthly dues. The checks are due the
night of the meeting or members will incur a $10.00 late fee.
David B. suggested that members have an arrangement with another
member to pay their dues for them should they not be able to attend
the meeting…..that or send the check in advance.
Tom: DIG unit value up 6% last month. Down 8.4% year to date.
We have $1,770.51 to spend tonight.

David B requested that we get our analyst reports to him at least by the weekend before the DIG meeting. This is when he does the analyst overview report.
