David Brodeur held proxies for Larry Corse and Holly Deveny.
Peter Carnell held proxies for Roger Drury and David Robinson.

Treasurer's report:
Tom Saunders shared a copy the May E-Trade Statement.

Tonight we collected $1730. We had $2150 to spend tonight.

David B. went over upcoming presentation schedules. He also reviewed the portfolio and went over the DIG Board. Before canvassing members about their opinions, it was decided to do tonight's presentations.

David B presented Tyco, which is a diversified, manufacturing company. It makes fire protection systems, pipes, fittings, underwater communications, power cables, medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. The SSG showed strong historical growth of 44%. He estimated a 20% growth rate for the next few years. Its current price is $55.85, which is in the BUY zone.

David B also compared Tyco to one of its competitors; GE, which is also a large, diversified manufacturing company. He presented an SSG that had a lower growth rate. The current price $48.14 is in the HOLD zone.

Andy B presented a Stock Comparison Guide, which is from the BetterInvesting Software. Several companies can be compared in areas of growth, management, price and other areas. The companies, which were compared in this manner, were Danaher, General Electric, Illinois Tool, Textron, and Tyco.

DIG members were canvassed for their opinions on which companies on the DIG Board were favored. The two favored companies were Robert Half as a current holding and Tyco as a new company.

A motion was made to put tonight's investment money into Tyco. A second motion to carry this was made.

Next month's meeting will be held on August 1, 2001.
