Tom reported that payment was received from everyone.
Tom reported reduction in the portfolio value for the month but up for the year. Available funds $ 1300.00.
Audit meeting will be in January with nominees as presented before. Tom will schedule the meeting by email.
John Brock noted that Cardinal Health had made what he considered a poor purchase. He may recommend a sell next meeting.
Officer elections are at the February meeting and the following items were discussed.
David B. proposed an outline of the duties for each office and the appointed directors which can be added to our operating procedures.
Nominations are now opened for officers. Members who wish to nominate officers should talk with the potential nominee. Before the elections at next months meeting, each nominee should be prepared with a short statement about what they would do in the office, where they feel the club is going and in general indicate why they would like to be elected.
David Brodeur has made the following nominations:
Roger Drury as President,
Andy Bain as Vice President,
Tom Saunders as Tresurer and
David Robinson as Secretary.
For the director positions the following have made firm commitments
as follows.
David Brodeur would like to serve as Portfolio Director and as
Webmaster,
Larry Corse has volunteered to be Social Events Director.
We'll still need solid volunteers for Assistant Treasurer,
Assistant Secretary, and Membership Director.
Steve Shockley would be interested in the Membership Director
and
Russ Douglas is interested in being the Assistant Secretary.
The Dig board was discussed.
Presentations of Kyocera and Philips by Brian Alexander. Informational,
not buys at this time
Presntation of Symantec by Andy Bain. In buy zone and financials
good but not windows compatible.
Presentation of Intel by David Brodeur. Buy zone at $40 and good
numbers for future return.
Motion to buy $1300.00 of MSFT. Withdrawn
Motion to sell Gillette and invest $1000 in MSFT and the balance, about $4000 in Intel. Motion carried. Todd will be the analyst for Intel. A new analyst will be assigned to FNM.
