In attendance: Mike Wall, Russ Douglas, Larry Corse, Randy Wilbur, Steve
Shockley, Andy Bain, Peter Carnell, Ron Kozak, Roger Drury, David Robinson,
Tom Saunders.

Absent members: David Brodeur, John Brock, Holly Deveny, Brian Alexander,
David Jones, Todd Fibus.

We had four visitors: Xavier Menage, Reni Ludin (2nd visit), Bob Forrest,
Trent Fisher (2nd visit).

Roger shared a "moments of inspiration"….Gillette. Analysts are optomistic.
28,000 stock recommendations. 74% of all stock recommendations are a
"buy".

Minutes were approved for August and September.

Andy (acting treasurer) reported that we have $1,218 to spend tonight.

Classes this month….any interest for classes? (None expressed.)

Officers for next year:

Roger reviewed the list of positions/officers needed for next year.

Larry volunteered to be the Host.

Peter offered to help with the website as Webmaster….but may not know how to
do everything that David B. currently takes care of.

Steve expressed interest as Membership Director.

Mike expressed interest in helping out with part of the roles of V.P.

Need a volunteer for the Portfolio Director…maybe David Jones or Holley?

Russ offered to be an assistant to the Secretary.

We need a Backup Treasurer.

Andy may be up for Treasurer.

David B. may need to be Web master.

David R. volunteered to continuing being secretary.

HOLDS: ADBE, ADP, CAH, RHI, WPI, ADCT, CSCO, CSL, KRB(MBNA), UNH

BUYS: BAC, CMH, G, MAR, MSFT, DELL, HNI, LU

Everyone shared their preferences for BUYS or SELLS.

Mike presented WorldCom Inc. They were formerly known as MCI WorldCom….2nd
largest domestic long-distance carrier. Formed as the merger of MCI and
WorldCom in Sept., 1998. They are very involved in the internet….large
holdings.
Hist. Rev Growth: 74.8%.
Hist. EPS Growth: 25.2%.
Est. Future Rev Growth: 10%.
Est Future EPS Growth: 16%.

Current price of $29.44 is a BUY.
Buy up to $30.04.
(Now at $28.75.)

Andy presented Textron Inc. Operates in 4 segments: aircraft, automotive,
industrial and financial services.
Make Cessnas, business jets, Bell Helicopters, plastics, fasteners.
Hist. Rev Growth: 8.1%.
Hist EPS Growth: 9.8%.
Est Rev Growth: 8.1%.F
Est EPS Growth: 9.8%.

Current price of $47 is a BUY.
Buy up to $68.46.
Current PE is 10.8.

Andy also presented Alcoa.
They manufacture aluminum….being used more instead of steel.
Current price of $29 is a HOLD.
Buy up to $27.73.

Checks were turned in by all members.

$1,218.00 to spend tonight.

Motion to sell Gillette was seconded. Motion did not carry.

Motion to buy Lucent was seconded. Motion did not carry.

Motion to spend all of tonight's cash on Microsoft was seconded. Motion
carried.
