Members absent with proxies: Brian Alexander, Jon Brock, Roger Drury, David Jones, David Robinson, Mike Wall, Randy Wilbur. Guests: Trent Fisher, Sarah Hayes.
David Brodeur call the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and gave a brief overview of BetterInvesting principles and stock selection criteria.
The minutes of the July meeting were approved.
Tom Saunders gave the Treasurer's report.
Larry Corse presented Cisco. Currently well above a buy price.
David Brodeur presented Lucent. Currently a buy.
A motion passed to buy Microsoft with the $1,260 available this month for stock purchase.
The meeting closed with a discussion of our practice of not buying a stock on the first night it is presented. No decision was made.
The next meeting is on Wednesday. September 6, 2000.
