The minutes were approved for last month.
John advised that our units were now at $17.50 and is a record!
David B. explained the units of DIG. Like a mutual fund. A unit
originally represented an arbitrary $10.00 when we started.
David B. discussed have a class on using Financial Ratios. Several members expressed interest. The class was scheduled for Monday, April 17th. David B's house. 7:30 PM.
Roger talked about the spreadsheets that David B. put together.
David B. reviewed upcoming BetterInvesting classes. Also please be sure to tip our server (envelope passed around).

Roger clarified that the goal for all members is two (2) presentations
per year.
David B. advised he had a proxy for Tom.
David B. reviewed a helpful page ("Portfolio Info.")
on the DIG site. Discussed its purpose as an aid for members doing
analyst reports.
You can click on the logo for more info. It shows when quarterly
analyst reports are due. Click on "quarterlies" to get
quarterly reports.
The forecast jumps to Quicken.com (has lower estimates
.more
conservative.) EDGAR has pure numbers---no glossy photos (that
are irrelevant.) Only what is required to report
.no "rosy"
news. David B. advised that the analysts should fill in the spreadsheet
report too for quarterly analyst reports. Analysts should send
email updates at least a week prior to our monthly
meetings.
Todd discussed the "I Club" list from BetterInvesting. Much better than the company bulletin boards. Good investment info. Fundamental Analysis/Info..
Andy reported that we have $1,340 to spend this evening.
David B. reviewed the DIG Board. "Buys" for the evening:
CAH, CMH,
MAR, CCL, TXT, UNH.
Peter discussed concerns with Fannie Mae.
John discussed where most of our earning have come from. Stated
we need to do a better job of determining when to sell (ie. Techne,
Adobe) We should spend as much time reviewing the stocks at the
top of their price range (as we do reviewing purchases).
A motion to put all of this evening's money into Mariott was seconded and the vote carried.
David R. presented the Carlisle Companies, a diversified manufacturing and distribution company. Current price of $39.50 is a BUY. Buy up to $40.31. There was some concern about their debt (56.2% last 5 year average.)
Randy presented MBNA a financial company. Current price of $25.44 is a BUY. Buy up to $38.02. There was interest in watching this stock.
Andy presented HON Industries. They make office products and
hearth supplies. Current price of $25.75 is a BUY. Buy up to $26.96.
Andy also reviewed Textron

HOLD.
