Diversity Investment Group Wednesday, May 6, 1998, Kaiser Glenlake Office Minutes of the Meeting The meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM. All members were present except Clarissa Clifton, Larry Corse, Roger Drury, Phil Horne, Bobby Lane, Jonathan Lerner, Vinnie Metzger, Monty Schuth, John Stowe and Steve Weintraub. Contributions were not received from Bobby Lane. Also attending were three guests: Linda Green (third time), Mark Bilby and Andy Baine (first time each). The following proxies were provided: Larry Corse to David Brodeur, Jonathan Lerner to Gary Kaupman. A motion to admit Roger Drury as a partner passed unanimously. Minutes of the last meeting were approved unanimously. David reported that Jeff Fibus had resigned, and had been paid out from cash on hand during the month. Miguel Molina reported that the 2/28/98 valuation had been corrected and provided a new valuation as of 4/30/98. This valuation shows a total return of 10.39% and compounded annual return of 12.36% since 3/4/97. The unit value was $11.811. David will host an education meeting on the Stock Comparison Guide at his home on Wednesday, May 20 at 7:30 PM. David reported that he had made further enhancements to the web site and encouraged everyone to check them out and give him feedback. Stock assignments for next month are as follows: (1) Jonathan, Leon and Steven, (2) Sabrina/Ken, (3) David/Randy and (4) Holly on Boeing. A lengthy discussion was held concerning our holding of Nike. The general sentiment was that a recovery in the short-term was unlikely. A motion was made to sell our holding and it passed unanimously. John Brock led a lengthy discussion concerning the telecommunications industry, and drew some interesting pictures. He discussed Andrew, ADC Telecommunications and Qualcomm. He also discussed Diebold. After discussion, a motion passed unanimously to purchase Diebold with the proceeds of the Nike sale. David announced the next meeting will be on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:30 at Kaiser Permanente. He then adjourned the meeting at 9:15 PM. Submitted by Tom Saunders
