Minutes of Diversity Investment Group for April, 1997 Vincent Metzger 04/03/97 10:33 PM 1. Twelve members were present, and approved the minutes of the previous meeting. 2. David announced that the group joined NAIC as a group, and purchased the NAIC club accounting software. 3. David passed around a sample monthly valuation report, produced by the club valuation software. 4. The partnership agreement has been registered with the county clerk, and we have obtained a tax ID. 5. Contributions were collected from all members present. All future contributions should be made out to "Diversity Investment Group". Partners excused Randy from late fees on his contribution, as he called David earlier in the day to say he was sick. 6. Doyle was appointed assistant treasurer, and Bobby and Todd volunteered to be on the audit committee. 7. Vinnie, Todd and David will research discount on-line brokerage firms, and make a recommendation at the next meeting. 8. Five guests were at the meeting, and will be prospective new members, if they attend two more meetings. 9. Meetings will continue to be held at the Kaiser Glenlake Conference Room on the first Wednesday of each month. 10. David suggested use of "Quote.Yahoo.Com" for current stock info. Vinnie suggested members who get the AJC, call to request the quarterly investment guide. 11. Stock Check Lists and stock selection guides were reviewed for Ben & Jerry's, Oracle*, Southern Company, The Money Store*, MCI* and Outback Steaks*. Those that are asterisked were of interest to the club, and should be monitored for next month by those who brought them in. 12. All members without a copy of the book "Starting & Running a Successful Investment Club" should obtain a copy. 13. Upcoming educational programs of the NAIC Atlanta Council were reviewed. 14. Todd will look to host a session at his home on running the stock selection guide software package. Partners with Laptops are encouraged to bring them so we will have multiple screens to gather around. Todd will send out an announcement on the date & time.
